MR1 Upgrade disables memory card on xv6800??

I just did the MR1 upgrade to my xv6800 and now its doesnt recognize the memory card. Its an 8 gb and I already have the fix for the hcsd large memory cards. Ive tried many soft resets and reinstalling the SDHC.777 cab....nothing works. Has this happened to anyone else??? I did a backup before upgrading so Im about to go back to 6.0...can anyone help??

I also cant seem to find a working valhalla cab dor the gps fix (one was an xml doc w/5 other unreadable files, and the other just wont load up)

Many thanks

OK i just UNINSTALLED the SDHC.777 cab completely and now it reads the card. The upgrade mustve had a tweak to read the larger mem cards.

If someone could still give me a link or file for the gps fix tho i would greatly appreciate it

Dude, you should read and search before you install offical upgrades. Now that you have done the MR1 "Upgrade" (which really is a downgrade) you are going to have a very hard time getting GPS to work.

Re: MR1 Upgrade disables memory card on xv6800??

well they made a fix called aGPS or Valhalla something...I just got two dead links...
Why is it a downgrade? what is newer? From what I read, it was a suped up 6.1 and it unlocks the GPS but then u need the file that im talkin about to tweak the radio and reg to actually get it to work with 3rd party apps and VZNav

Re: MR1 Upgrade disables memory card on xv6800??

A Verizon rep had me add the MR1 update because he couldn't fix an issue I was having. I have used many ROMs from the kitchen and thought Verizon update was actually pretty good. I found the aGPS fix, a simple download and CAB install and google maps and Windows Live worked perfectly. I would have been content to keep the MR1 updates except I fell in love with M2D. The MR1 is a little bloated so M2d didn't work so well, so I had to switch back to custom ROMs.
