How to setup Mogul with WM 6.1 to be visible on my home network.

This question has probably already been asked many times but I could not find an existing thread.

I would like to setup my mogul to be visible to all of my other computers that are on my home network. As of right now I can get it to connect via Wifi to my router and I can get to the internet but the phone does not show up when I map the network.

Could someone point me to an existing thread which talks about this or give me an idea of what I need to do. I currently am using Windows Vista SP1 on my pc's and 802.11g.

Any help is appreciated.

Visible - as in with a netbios name for file/printer sharing? I don't think there's any way to get it to announce itself to a browse master server.

On the other hand, there's the domain enrollment if you have a Windows Device Manager server on your network. That might be something to check out. With it, you may be able to connect to your home network both by wifi and cellular.

Thank you. I was looking more of treating the mogul as if it was another pc that I allowed access to my network and would like to make it visible in my network map for all pc's to be able to access the storage drive.

Re: How to setup Mogul with WM 6.1 to be visible on my home network.

Sorry. I did some digging around and for PCs to connect to the phone or treat it as a networked resource, the Mogul would have to be running a service for them to connect to. Again, I am pretty sure I have seen some ftp possibilities, but nothing approaching what you have in mind.
If you want to grant access to the content on your phone, you might try one of the OTA sync sites where you can backup all your content to a web repository.

Another option you may want to play with is MyMobiler - where you can control and browse your phone from a PC after install of the client to the PC and the server app to the phone.

Another update -

Did some more searching because I was getting curious too.

I found a little program for WinMo called Network Browser. Check out the review and screenshots. This might be exactly what you're looking for.

This works wirelessly? Activsync not involved on the PC?

I use Resco Explorer to map my PPC to my network and it also works fine. You can use it to FTP also.
