Re: Double letters when typing. All the time. What's the deal
I too have had that problem with my Mogul... But the more I used the keyboard the more it stopped doing double and triple letters... I'm not sure what causes it but I'm pretty sure somewhere on this forum I've seen other people had that problem, and I thought there was a fix to it... But personally I would give it a little bit of time and see if it doesn't cut back naturally.

Re: Double letters when typing. All the time. What's the deal
Mine started doing the same thing about three months ago. Sometimes I have to press the buttons harder than normally, and a majority of the time it prints double and triple letters. I think it's from normal wear and tear. I've been meaning to go to the Sprint store and see if they'll give me a new phone but I'm lazy. (note: three months)

Re: Double letters when typing. All the time. What's the deal
Mine didn't do the double letters at all (Alltel) until the recent upgrade to WM 6.1
Been doing it ever since, and it's getting pretty annoying. Is Motorola EVER going to come out with a touchscreen/full qwerty keyboard combo? When they do, it's bye bye HTC. This 6800 is the reason I'm not even looking twice at the Touch Pro. |

Re: Double letters when typing. All the time. What's the deal
I always got the double letters before I did the 6.1 update. I did the update and now I just get the double click but no double letters.
Before the update the lower left keys became almost non responsive. I had to push real hard to get shift or the blue shift to work at all. I got a new phone and all was fine but got double letters... Before I traded in the phone for another one I figured I would try the 6.1 update. The update got rid of the double letters, but not the double sound... That doesn't bother me at all. Weird, but there is a keyboard fix patch on the HTC suppoert site under downloads.... Some say this has worked for them, but I never tried it. |
