Re: good bye 6800
how so weed? i would figure with the kitchen the TP even from vzn being crippled could be made into what its truly meant to be. im due for an upgrade soon and was thinking of getting the TP. can a custom rom not make the TP better?

Re: good bye 6800
it will make it better but there are some crucial aspects that VZW has done to the TP;
reduced the amount of ram GPS doesn't sync with the contacts and some others

Re: good bye 6800
how can vzn change the ram? that should be set by HTC when it leaves the factory. ima gonna have to investigate. really dont care about GPS and contacts. just as long as GPS works with XT. gonna go do some homework.

Re: good bye 6800
I own a Mogul since 6 months and it does much more than I ever imagined. It truly is a state of the art phone. Just imagine even after 1.5 years after launch, only now its getting replaced by advanced hardware. Mogul will still be usuable for another 1-1.5 years as a hi end device.
However, I have a question. What are you guys doing for corporate emails through BES? AFAIK, as of now, there is no solution to blackberry connect on Mogul? I think thats probably the only thing which works against Mogul. other thing is memory leaks in WM (6.0), occasional hang ups and notification issues. Otherwise, Mogul truly was a Mogul in PDAs replaced only now by touch pro |

Re: good bye 6800
It is not only the memory but also a slower CPU as well;

Re: good bye 6800
wonder why vzn does this crap? i also wonder why its cheaper to upgrade or buy new with service for vzn through HTC than it is through vzn? guess when the time comes i will but a sprint TP off ebay. thats where my 6800 came from that is alltel branded.
