Well im on my way to Florda from wisconsin right now and I decided to turn on my gps for the heck of it. when I did this and hit the center on gps location button it took forever like it usully does and gave me an error saying some thing to the effect of gps connection was lost push y or n to restart. I pushed y now 3 times to no avail. also the little norm red arrow is gray. its sett to comm 4. PLEASE HELP before I end up in south dakota. I know there are other post out there related, but I couldn't find any thing that really pertained. if its a repeat post sorry and point me to the right direction.

Re: Live Search gps location wigging out!

I have also seen MS Live be really weird with GPS location, this is one of the reasons I keep Google Maps loaded also. Sorry no fix/explanation.

Re: Live Search gps location wigging out!

Selltech, I don't know if you solved your problem yet but I had a similar problem a couple weeks ago. All of a sudden the gps couldn't find a fix and said unable to connect to gps on comm 0 and the arrow stayed gray. I mucked around in the settings somewhere and found that the windows live program had somehow switched where the internal gps port setting was. For the life of me I can't find where the setting is now but I reset it to look for the gps on comm 0 somewhere and it is all normal again. Hope this helps at least steer you in the right direction.

Re: Live Search gps location wigging out!

thx. I finally got it to work in tennessee (somehow?) and then just for s.a.g. I used gps speedo and after that it seamed that my phone went willy nilly. I have noticed a trend. once I get it up and running it will be good untill I use gps speedo. any one know what that is about? or how to fix. For now I will try the comm 0 somewhere and see if that works. thx
