Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

For me Opera Mini is way better than Skyfire. Skyfire seems bulky to me. Besides on my mogul when I zoom in to watch youtube it's difficult to size just right so that it fills the screen without leaving the frame or vice versa. This is why I use youtubeplayer to watch youtube videos.

One thing I wish though, that would make Opera Mini the bomb.. if it work with Rapidshare.

Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

those who are experiencing crash with opera mini, it is defenitely wrong jbed/ java applet.

If ur rom is based dcd(or not) than try jbed version 20080222 3.1; installed in main memory. it should improve speed and stop crahes...

sorry if I came out hard on skyfire. It is very decent browser, best for those who view heavy flash web contents. OPERA mini cannot display. But I try avoid using skyfire because it is memory hogger (8-9 MB RAM) which causes manilla htc home and other background apps to shut down. But I would certainly prefer skyfire over ie or opera mobile.

If skyfire would render text zoom dynamically and resize text boxes to fit the width of the screen rather than zoom to a variable box, it would beat all the other browsers. As such, Skyfire is sorely lacking features that make both opera mini and opera mobile better browsers based on the phone you are using.

Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

Greetings. This 4.2 version of opera mini is very nice imo. The mobile youtube videos have played flawlessly and i like that you can now change skins. I know there's ways of making shortcuts for opera mini, but for anyone interested, there's an app over at xda called jzsmartmort. It's an awesome app that'll create a opera mini 4.2 shortcut for you in the start-menu. It also has an option to disable all jbed security prompts, and much more. Very nice if you wanna access opera mini 4.2 with one click.

Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

I can get it installed but once I run Opera Mini it won't connect to the internet. I have a BB7130e on Cricket. Any suggestions from my Cricket users? Thanks!

Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

I can't seem to figure out how to get mini installed. I didn't add it with the kitchen cause I wanted to "install" it in a different location to save program memory space. And so I go to the website to download and install it, and it goes through the installation process. but where the hell did it install to?

Re: holy **** opera mini ownns

No doubt Opera Mini's the best. I haven't tried 4.2 out yet on EVDO, just Wifi, but it does seem a little faster. Worst part was remembering how I got rid of the trusted site confirmation in jbed.

+1 Opera Mini
