So says ups after $299.00 - $318.00 with tax Im getting a touch PRO. Ive had some serious problems and some serious returns (probably around 17 since april) they know that there is a problem thats kind of why they really havent given me a hard time about swapping out. If it didnt break on its own, then Id probably tweaked it to DEATH LLLOOLLLL!......and they give me a new one Some of the refurbs are so bad that I had to actually canabalize them to make one good phone. Was offered a job at a sprint store after doing it on the counter. (parts everywhere). the white spots come from the LCD inverter that is directly under the white spot and that is exactly the spot on the phone where the LCD is plugged in. Ever noticed how hard you have to press on the refurbed screens? Well my friend thats because they are el cheapo/cut rate. if you have problems with your fresh, out the box 6800 and its not an lcd problem, try and have a tech swap the screens for you. Most (but not all) sprint store Techs are lazy and not that Tech savvy, But can talk you into a swapout QUICKLY.
These Moguls are good phones if you have a good understanding of how they work.

Yeah my refurb phone had almost NO sensitivity. Parts of the screen actually didn't work, and the ones that did I practically had to put a fist through.

I don't remember where I saw, either on this forum or XDA, but someone had pics of the Mogul all taken apart with what they thought to be the culprit behind the white spot.

It's weird though that the white spots aren't always just on that one spot on the screen. I had 4 spots on mine. Although it does seem to start with just that one.

It's good to know that the refurbs also come with inferior screen sensitivity, because I was wondering if I was the only one noticing this.

At this point I'd be happy if I could just get a refurb that at least didn't have the spots. I've only went through a couple, nowhere near the 17 Jesus you've went through... I'm just glad that the Touch Pro alternative now exists for a potential automatic upgrade.

I am part of the 98% and i am fed up with my mogul. getting sent around from department to department getting the run around is pissing me off. my mogul freezes all the time keyboard locks up and then spits out tons of letters. bluetooth is god awfull i have tried 4 different headsets and it sounds like a Chitty fm radio station. not to mention all the clock/alarm issues (which made me late for work a number of times before i figured it out). and i can see how some people are like "your picky". well hell yeah when i paid over 400 dollars for my device less than a year ago and im having all of these problems and having to exchange my phone out 5 times within a year. yeah im picky and im pissed, phones are supposed to last 2 years not 2 months.

Yeah I read that thread before, and for such a huge upgrade for free I'd live with it and be happy. Much like those that paid little or nothing for the Mogul...although not all of it's problems could be solved, and everyone has their opinion.

I'm not so sure the issues with the Pro are insurmountable. I'm more than willing to try my luck...

Well, I'll have to head into the repair center again tomorrow. Another white dot has appeared. I've really needed to get it in for a few weeks now because my Wifi has been turning on by itself (hardware button is off) - so this is just another excuse.

I'm going to plan the seed of an upgrade for next time. If things go as they have in the past, I'll be back in there within 30-45 days.
