Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
I think people are getting the wrong message here. I'm not calling your baby ugly.....just maybe "defective". lol
Jesus what is this defend at all cost day today... I think I said it several times now that I dont find it utterly terrible to have the spots, even though it is rather bothersome if you use your phone for showing pics and video like I do. Other problems already stated coupled with this make it worthwhile to replace.. I suppose this has been repeated so much in my responses that somehow its skimmed and overlooked. lol |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
I understand the message that you are trying to get across. I just dont agree with it.
To me the white spot is a just a cosmetic issue. For me, I dont need my phone to be perfect just functional and the white spot has no effect on "MY" functionality. But it just might affect yours. We have a small difference in opinion thats all. And i am pretty sure that is because you prolly paid a good deal of money for your phone brand new and you expect that for the money you paid you want a similar return of product. I on the other hand, paid nothing for my mogul. I bought a 6700 two years ago for $50. After two years the screen finally crapped out (after taking one helluva beating) and I took it into a sprint store and had it replaced with a refurb 6800 for no extra cost. So having spent less money out of pocket, I have a lower expectation for the phone I received. Simply stated I am content with I have for the price I have paid. Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
the point is... if there only $30 price difference then that should be an available swap under warranty conditions ....or even after multiple swaps.
and yes sprint is partially at fault carriers modify the phones before there release hence different buttons and certain dimensions |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
phantom alarms?? wtf are u guys doing to your phones.. I tweak.. I think flashing is pointless theres more than enough memory to do everything.. im on my 2nd mogul, soon to be 3rd..
you guys got to expect with heavy usage a phones "life" is gonna be lower.. the percentage of users that are going to try to mod a phone is significantly low..probably to the point they don't even factor that in when making new phones.. the battery overheating.. that's the battery UTStarcom makes it.. its dynapack manufactured.. this battery is was actually in the WING and recalled by tmobile and free replacements given.. sprint told me to piss off when I asked for a replacement.. I called UTSTARCOM and they wanted me to send them the battery and leave myself batteryless so they could check it out..and I was gonna have to pay for shipping.. but its not really sprints issue.. have u not been readin the TP overheats too.. never seen the white spots your talking about.. gmail was garbage for ever but called a week or so ago and its been pretty good sense.. the screen is unresponsive at times and texting can't keep up because the keyboard becomes lame.. but at 12000 texts a month im sure than considered abuse lol... so im curious when did the guy who started this post poll all the mogul users in the world.. my friends wouldn't know **** about phones if t wasn't for me.. I've never met someone that doesn't work for a phone carrier in some way that does the things we all do to our phones.. I could probably check but how many members r on geeks? 30,000? how many people have cell phones 300million? the instant you downoaded one thing to your mogul that wasn't verizon or sprint you voided any warranty anyways.. phones will never be perfect;their made by people.. honestly cell companies really should start thinking about hiring in a new wave of younger techs.. you know some 40 yr olds are sittin around doin this ****..probably on here stealin ideas.. |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Just a note for everyone, 2 of the 3 moguls I have had were stock with third party software that sprint offers, and I still had issues, I calmly explained that to them and for $50 they are sending me a TP

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
thankyou... my point has been made clearly and repeatedly by those like me who have went through a number of refurbished stock nonaltered Moguls and are now getting very fair deals on upgrades.
It would be interesting to find out it was a battery issue causing any of the odd problems. Appparently TMobile thought it worthy of a recall anyway. The problem with getting stats from just counting posts here of who says yes vs no in regards to the problems at hand is that people are more apt to respond when they dont agree or simply dont see the problem yet... (or have stock/loyalty in Sprint) However, if you look at the people who have received multiple units and discovered they all had same issues then you'll understand what is being said here. |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Some may try to turn this into a p'ing contest via half quotes and misdirections.
However, the facts can stand on their own merit and need not be rehashed...but perhaps re-read. The world may never know exact percentages...and who cares at this point anyway. It is up to the individual to decide if they want their phone problems fixed via the stated method. |
