Erratic battery performance since latest firmware update

Has anyone else notice poor/erratic battery performance since upgrading to 3.56.651.0? Ever since the upgrade, my battery life has been poor at best. My battery would last all day prior to the update. Now I end up having to charge it mid day. My usage hasn't increased any. As far as the erratic behavior. Sometimes battery life will drop from 70% to 20% in the matter of seconds when all I did was responded to a text message. If there is an existing thread relating to this, I apologize.

Re: Erratic battery performance since latest firmware update

your battery might have gone bad. Mine went nutty for no reason at all (unless sitting/laying on it counts!).

Re: Erratic battery performance since latest firmware update

Either your battery is going, or one of the programs on your phone is acting haywire because of the new ROM update.. Try removing all your programs, and see if your battery life improves.. If it does, add each program, one by one, and see if any affect your battery life.

Re: Erratic battery performance since latest firmware update

I really dont think it's my battery, not saying it's impossible, but it directly coincides with the day I did the update. May be the apps. Haven't installed to much on my phone since the update but will definitely yank them. Basically just been too damn lazy. Thanks for the reg edit tip as well.

Re: Erratic battery performance since latest firmware update

it sounds like you need to let it fully die, then fully charge.. I have noticed that sometimes after a hard reset/ flash the phone will think the battery level is lower than it is. let the phone die, pull battery and reboot, let die again, then fully recharge.
