Re: Goodbye, Mogul, hello Touch Pro!
lack of hard buttons. for example, to send a text you have to press the screen at least 3 times and then type your message. with the mogul, zero: hit messaging button, left sofkey (new message), type message, left softkey (send). done. there are no hard OK buttons or softkeys on the touchpro. there are 3 ok buttons and 4 softkeys on the mogul lol.
touchflo3d is just bloatware. the old HTC 3-button home from the kaiser (i think that's where it's from) does everything that TF3D does, but is so much more straightforward. you can't stop the customizations from running on the TP after initial startup (it's so bizarre), so there's an incredible amount of junk on the phone (nobody's unlocked the extrom yet; the file system/registry is significantly different). opera comes preloaded as the default browser, and you can't change that. period. if you try to use IE, opera just opens up as soon as you enter a URL. sure the mogul is kinda clunky and the TP's screen blows it out of the water, but for me i have a winmo phone for functionality. the mogul can do everything the TP can do, but with a lot fewer frills and gimmicks. |

Things the Touch Pro can do that the Mogul can't do: - Run TONS of apps at a time without bogging down the system. - Take pictures actually worth saving on your computer. - Gives you a row with numbers so you don't have to use FN to type them. - Display at 480x640 resolution. - Zoom in web pages with a iPod-style "wheel" - Look pretty. There are more, but those are the biggest differences. Also there is a button on the keyboard that says "TXT" which will do the same thing as the messaging button, but actually takes you right to text messaging. (no FN key required for this operation either) I used to have a Mogul, and I was so mad I switched it out for a Touch, but trust me, the TPro is worlds above the Mogul in every way except it has less buttons and doesn't have a scroll wheel (for me, this was my favorite feature of my Mogul). EDIT: Just thought of a few more: - No annoying telescoping stylus - GREAT speakerphone volume and awesome quality on both speaker and earpiece. - Light sensor for automatic screen brightness adjustment - TouchFlo 3D. I didn't think it'd be "that" cool, but it really is. - GPS locks in under 10 seconds INdoors...
