WiFi and Rev A

I have a stupid question. Is there some sort of setting that will tell my 6800 to use wifi instead of data when wifi is available?

Re: WiFi and Rev A

leave the wifi switch on and have the hotspots locked into memory, it should do it.

Agreed but WiFI being left on will drain the battery faster. What exactly ware you trying to do and/or accomplish?

Frequently, I am in spots where I have wifi access but my phone signal is poor, i.e. in the basement at work. Somtimes I have to be there for quite a while and really don't have anything to do but watch. I turn on the wifi and have access to a network that has internet access, but it seems as though the phone wants to use the data connection over the wifi. I was just wondering if there was something that I could do to make it use wifi when it is available. The wifi connection is made and active but the phone seems to want to always use the data connection. I have verified that the wifi connection is working.

Re: WiFi and Rev A

Do you have the 6.1 ROM? If not and you're not willing to flash Gonzo, grab the 3.42.50 radio from XDA that DCD posted and flash it via SD card and it should improve reception.
