Re: Holding Dowm Phone OFF button turns phone OFF (Disable?)

I would suggest using a program like Slide to Unlock 2 to avoid that, or the built in locks, such as the pin or the screen lock.

Or stop carrying it in your butt pocket, which is what I suggest above all, mostly because of how much you likely paid for this phone, and how much it would suck to break it by sitting on it.

There has to be a Reg Edit thingy in Register of the phone to stop the 5 second hold down disconnect call that turns off the phone

Re: Holding Dowm Phone OFF button turns phone OFF (Disable?)

I have Slide to Unlock and even when enabled, also with the screen turned off, if I hold the End button it turns my radio off. It's very annoying when the phone is in the holster and the button is inadvertently being pushed.

HOW TO: Permanently Disable Flight Mode
You must have a registry editor installed on the PPC. I used PHM RegEdit
Go to the registry and change the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> ControlPanel -> PhoneExtendFunction -> CDMA

Change FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0

This will prevent the phone from going into Flight Mode if you accidentally press the End Call button for too long.

Note that Flight Mode can still be used by tapping the signal strength meter. (I wish I could disable that too)

Change FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0

There is only EnableSound Data is 1 and i changed it to 0 and it did not work

Can you check your facts and tell me what you came up with?

When you're looking AT the CDMA folder, not IN it, the correct key is waiting for you. It sounds kind of confusing, but if you're using PHM Registry Editor, Expand the PhoneExtendFunction folder, and simply tap CDMA, instead of expanding CDMA. Then scroll down and you'll find what you're looking for.
