is it possible to use mp3s as sounds for reminders ?
a program that uses database on phone so acts like an add-on or maybe a reg tweak. no program to fancy, just handles tasks and calenders. maybe silmilar to one that comes with wm6

What kind of reminders are you talking about? I'm using MP3 files to notify me when either a text message or new emails arrive. It's in Start\Settings\Personal tab\Sounds & Notifications\Notifications. Drop down the Event box and select the notification type you want.
The MP3 file you want to use must be in the Application Data\Sounds folder for it to show up in the Ring tone box in Sound & Notifications.

then convert to .wavs as that is what they are from OEM
