iWindowsMobile CommunicationSuite version 1.5 have some ?s... please help

Hello all,
first off want to say i am saddened by the fact we pay all this money for our PPC(are supposed to do it all) and then have to pay for programs to do the stuff that it should do to start with. so big to that. After shelling out 300.00 for the phone then another 40.00 in micro sdhd memory its hurts to have to buy more stuff to make it the way it should be to start with. That being said....

Thank YOU TO ALL that do make our PPCing/Phoning experience better. My hat is off to you all. Again Thank You!

I downloaded SMS-Chat last night and i must say i LOVE IT. It is the trial version but I'm in love and only used it for a few mins.
I was hoping people could tell me there experience with SMS-Chat and the Suite or Goodwin, Zoomboard and what not? any info is much appreciated. I'm pretty sure i will shell out yet another 40.00 to get the Suite but again would like some PROs & CONs from anyone that has used them.

I just downloaded the Communication Suite v1.5 and want to try the entire Suite out for I'm sure I'm going to love it after seeing the videos and such on YouTube.com.
Anyone know if Winterface complete replaces Today screen? is it possible to run them both?

Thank you all for your time and input, it is much appreciated.

Welcome Regiteye.

While we all share disappointment with the lack of some what we would be simple features on the Mogul , There is some light. You can find just about anything on this site or fellow Brethren XDA . While i am not too familiar with your carriers system , I do know i got the Threaded SMS messaging when i received a win 6.1 . I also see you asked a question in another post where answered by REEG420
Not sure about the infrared stuff. Should be there. Mines got voice command. This option would not be an official US Cellular release. So if you were to bring in your phone you would have to flash back to the last official US Cellular ROM before hand.

Could upgrade to a custom ROM from the ppckitchen. DCD's roms over at xda, or no2chem's rom.

Also you could just install the official sprint rom. Just make sure that you DO NOT let the customizations run after the rom loads for the first time. You must soft reset before this happens. Get your stylus ready you'll only have 3 seconds once it shows up on screen. This is really important.

Then you would install the appropriate dcd carrier cab for US Cellular.
Carrier Cabs Here
http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers%2F

That would make the phone a US Cellular phone. Setting up voice/data and gps settings. You would only have to do this if you arent using the ppckitchen. In the ppckitchen you can choose your carrier from a drop down list.

Also take a look at this thread if your leaning towards the custom roms.

that would work. Also to answer the question in regards to installing an EXE . Active sync your unit to your PC install the program via desktop and follow the install instruction , as it will load directly into your unit.

Sorry for the long post and hope you succeed

Thank you athlet1c i appreciate the reply. I would love to get my phone to where i want it without flashing or changing roms if possible. I know, sounds crazy but rather keep it stock and just add programs/apps if need. If i cant do this then i will have to go the flash the rom way .
US Cellular is very hard to find things on. i even talked to HTC directly and they told me there is nothing they can do cause US Cellular has asked them to not help that we(US Cellular's Customers) must go through US Cellular (which is crap cause it took me 30mins to get a rep to connect to a tech, and then i didnt even get to talk to the tech directly she relay the ?'s i asked then put me on hold then came back with answers like sorry there is No WM 6.1 update, and sorry we dont know of any applications u can install for Threaded SMS. So my carrier is no help LOL. Surprised? im not. anyways thanks agian for the info.
This board rocks i joined yesterday and have had all kinds of feedback and learned a ton. Thank YOU ALL!!

Yes It does Rock . There are some incredible people here. I am sorry i couldn't be of further help. I too use a stock ROM loaded with goodies. I have flashed before and enjoyed the great work of others , but prefer to keep it stock for the moment until i get bored. If i come across any further info ill be sure to share , as you do the same.

A lot of use cook ROMs using BuildOS. GaMedic made a nice tutorial on it and it really does help the phone run better. I would recommend starting with the 20273 Kitchen from BuildOS.
