Windows Media/Audio today plug in

I've been looking for a wmp today plug in. I've come across the HTC audio plug in, but they are all old threads. What is the best plug in for just the media player now? The HTC one has small controls.

I want big controls. Something like the HTC home media controller would be nice, just without the whole home plugin.
