Windows media/ audio functions stopped working?

My ringer & speaker phone work. Sliding sounds dont work. Any notification I set I can play to sample but but when the event happens I get no audio. I get a vibrate if I check that box though. Also, when I play a MP3 file with Windows media I get no audio from speaker nor whn I pulg headphones in. Any ideas? Seems like the OS multimedia audio is tangled up.

Did you try a soft reset???

yes, 10-15 times.

PWeber - Did you ever resolve this problem? I am experiencing the same thing - was working fine, then just quit (like that never happens on this device)...

I ended up reloading WM to fix it.

I am quite the noob on this - I assume WM means Windows Mobile and not Windows Mediaplayer.... if I can ask another question, did that cause a lot of disruption on the device so that you had to reinstall/reconfigure everything else?
