Re: no phone call recording abilities?....really?!

and I have a friend who has a cheapo Samsung I think, from USCC and it records calls no problem. Or maybe it was a Sanyo. Anyhow, I just find it odd that these high tech PPC phones can do almost everything 'cept record a phone call?!

I have tried Resco, Vito, built in notes recorder, even with speakerphone and it won't record. It makes files of 60 bytes, or just records my voice, and prevents me from being able to hear my caller while I"m on the call.

I suspect however that with the right ambition and intelligence, this "impossibility" will be overcome... someone's gonna do it. Look at how much the rest of the community has already done. Doesn't seem like much of a challenge.

Get a 6700. I used to record calls with it.

Re: no phone call recording abilities?....really?!

I thought it actually was possible . I may be confused with my old 6700 but it seems as if there was a few instances that I accidentally recorded a few calls. I say accidentally because I had no idea how I did it, but when going into my recordings, there were a few default labeled recordings listed. Not knowing what they were , played them and they were recordings of calls(both ways) . Now before you flame me, I do not recall if they were on my mogul or 6700 but it seems as f they were on the mogul. Of course , you could do as was suggested and use speaker phone and then use recorder. I realize this may not help but could it be possible there is an inadvertant way to do it ? I tried to replicate but never could. Also, the legality depends where you are.. the one post was quite correct when stating that in some statess it just requires ONE person knowing there is a recording. I am sure this would only take a minute to find out a particular state's laws on this matter. All that aside , I cannot fathom why anyone would buy a phone like the mogul for such a mundane task. Good luck.

Re: no phone call recording abilities?....really?!

I used to have a palm treo755p and would record phone conversations with motions app mvoice. It recorded to SD card and was fantastic. I work in insurance sales, I am on the road a lot, so recording car vin's (17 digits long), details of coverage desired by client, phone/fax numbers can be saved all while driving.

Another reason to record calls is sometimes you get calls from clients who are not quite grounded to reality. LOL

in the middle of the page that lists those states that only require one party notification
http://www.callcorder.com/phone-reco...aw-america.htm

hope that helps
