Question about the WiFi
my question maybe weird, but I'm going to the desert soon for quite a bit of time heh. my question is, the base i'll be going to said something about free wifi
so i was wondering if i just brought my phone, which will be turned off, no service. would i still be able to use it like a computer if i used the wifi? thanks guys

yeah u should be able too! my phone was shut off due computer error and i was still able to use my wi-fi!!

thats awesome! so now i dont need to buy a newer laptop lol or worry bout getting pics off my phone onto like my zune

Yes, you can use the WiFi w/o the device being activated. The hardware are two totally different things (cell v/s wifi)
