The first one I got when they had just come out didn't catch fire but it probably would have if I hadn't smelled it melting. It just got so hot that the whole bottem had turned mushy and you could smell the stink of burning rubber throughout the house. I am suprised you didn't smell yours before it got to the point of igniting.

You know, you might not have enough of a claim to file a huge lawsuit against Sprint, but maybe you can coax them into replacing it with one of those fancy upcoming phones? Ehh? Ehh? 0

But seriously Id be f'n pissed if this happened to my mogul and sprint wouldnt replace it. I mean like someone said before that could have burned down your house. Imagine if you left it charging over night like I do sometimes. Which after this Im having serious doubts. By the time you realized it would be too late to save anything and youd be running down the street in your boxers.
If you go to the sprint store and they wont do anything demand to speak to a manager. If they wont help demand to speak with district manager and so on. I cant see how anybody in there right mind wouldnt replace that. If for nothing else to avoid a law suit. Honestly I think you could sue sprint/htc if that really happened while charging. So just to avoid that sprint should just take the phone and replace it. Basically making it impossible to sue after that. Since it would seem both parties are satisfied.

Were you using the official mogul charger or an ebay knock off?? Just a thought.

Either way tell sprint you were using the EXACT charger that was supplied with the phone in the box.
