remove sprint modem connection??

Is there any way to remove the Sprint PCS #777 from my connections and keep it gone. I remove it and it returns back on its own. I do not have a data plan and do not want to use any data.

Settings... Connections... Connections... Advanced... Select Networks...

In the top drop down. You can change the option to My Work Network. This won't allow your phone to connect to the internet unless you are on a network... IE... 802.11 Wireless, or USB through Activesync.

I just tried that and it did not make any difference. I even deleted the sprint network and it put it back in.
