Check the XDA website for the tilt. It doesn't effect the phone. On the tilt, it was a software issue and this was a very easy solution. It's not like it is gonna harm the phone or you....

Re: Red Light of Death

I am using pre-8 as well, so I agree, however the offical rom flashes radio and all. (just a bit more thorough) also just wanted to make sure that you atleast had the offical loaded before taking to the store, as you'll get better service. of course thier tech will be able to tell very quick if it indeed is a hardware issue. good luck.

I am definitely going to flash the OEM rom before i take it back. I've just been too busy at work to work on it at all.

Re: Red Light of Death

ok so i'm trying to flash my phone back to stock and i can't arrrrrrrg.

so, from what i understood, i had to lock my phone to flash to stock rom right. Well that didn't work. so i unlocked it and that didn't work. I get errors.

so, what can i do now?

The error is "error 328 invalid command" in the ruu.

The phone just reboots and boots into the nue rom. Interestingly enough though, i was able to update my n2c rom! =D hahaha and it is fast :P

Can you get to bootloader mode by pushing the Camera, Power, and Soft Reset buttons?

Re: Red Light of Death

Oh yeah, i was always able to boot and get to the boot loader.

When I ended up doing was installing the n2c re-locker. trying flash a few times. Nothing, so i unlocked and tried a few more times, and nothing.

I believe what happened was i downloaded the wrong radio version. I have .5 and was trying .4 (i believe thats what i was doing).

Eventually I got it right.

*** As an UPDATE ***

Originally I had the n2c pre-8 v2, extended battery for many months. No problems at all! I tried to install the new noNueBar and that's when i started having problems.

So i've been running the stock sprint rom for about 24 hours now with the stock OEM battery. No problems at all. Going to throw in my extended battery and see how that goes for a while.

The issue was my phone would randomly turn off, freeze on sleep and never recover without pulling the battery, and occasionally the red light would be solid on when trying to power on the device. When the phone wouldn't turn on even with battery pull, i had to plug it into the USB (PC) and then i would get a reaction.

The reason I thought it was a short was because I had read about someone having a red light on and their phone not working. It was said that the red light = short circuit. Thus my reasoning. I am thinking (hopefully not) that it's the extended battery. But i only have a few days for it's 6 month warranty to cover it so i need to find out fast.

Thanks for all the help gang! Will let you know if anything else happens.

It is a good possibility that it was the radio.....I did the same thing had .5 and decided to give .4 a shot.....although I did not have the same issue as you, I was having a lot of problems with the phone....especially making and receiving calls....I took it up to the store and got a brand new one in the box..... have heard that flashing the radio more than a few times can affect it.....

Re: Red Light of Death

Thanks flyers for the info.

*** Update ***
It was DEFINITELY the battery. Threw in the extended battery, was able to charge it to 100%. Threw the rubberized case back on and BAM phone was off again. Only got it to work with OEM battery.

So now I know.

I've submitted an RMA/Warrenty with Seidio. Will let you guys know what happens.

Re: Red Light of Death

*** update ***
I received my replacement battery from seidio today. Overall my experience was very smooth. Submitted an RMA on their website, was sent an email with instructions and sent the battery back.

As far as I can tell I have another 6 months warranty on this battery as well. If/when I have issue will report in same thread.

Re: Red Light of Death

I might have updated too soon! I waited until i got home to swap out the batteries since i wanted to charge it all night. So i turned the phone off and swapped them out (as well as case covers) and on trying to fire up the phone I got a red LED on the right and a WHITE LED on the left! WTF?

At first i was pretty PO'd thinking i got the same battery back! But i was able to get it to fire up eventually. It hung on boot a few times and after pulling it and putting it back in it finally work.

Let us know what your experiences are with batteries! :P
