There is an arrow at the top right, you will click on that until you get to GPSone tab next to last on the right. It is there, promise.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

I have hooked my TelecomNZ Okta (HTC) Touch with the 'official' Telecom WM6.1 ROM (which incidentally almost screwed up my Hardware version 0001 phone) up to QPST and had a look at the gpsOne tab... All of the checkboxes are ticked (and greyed out) and under the PDE section it has:

PDE IP Address: 10.200.128.227
PDE Port Number: 5002
PDE Transport: DBM
Position Calculation: PDE

Any ideas if I will be likely to get the AGPS stuff working?? The GPS itself works, but it can take a while to ident and then lock satellites unless I have a really clear view of the sky. Even then it can take a min or two to lock.

cheers,
HCP

Don't worry about that. When you go to add ports to QPST, there will be 2 UBS ports. Add both.

I have gone to your post 330 and clicked on the updated sites for WmodemDriverInstaller, but they are bad now too. By the way I've got NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM, will this work as is on a VX6900?? Also, I have tried this all before with no success at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...VerizonAGPSFix. It ran fine but I had no result. I have done a hard reset on my phone since in order to start from scratch, do I need to reinstall WmodemDriverInstaller? Is that only for my Vista computer or does it also install something on the phone? Also, when I have installed this before, twice, it says that my modem is a Palm Treo Modem. I don't know if that is a generic name or indicative of a problem.

I think you meant to quote JoshKeller? Use the link in post 329. It has good working Wmodem drivers.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

I too am having the problem that the drivers won't automatically install. I have made sure the drivers are on my desktop (uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled) multiple times, but when I connect in diagnostic mode, windows new hardware manager comes up, and can never find the drivers.

So, when iI go into device manager, it is not listed on any port in "Com & LPT". Just above that, it lists "Other devices" w/ a question mark over it, and "HTC Vogue Diagnostics" w/ a question mark & exclamation mark, indicating it has no drivers.

I actually did it once before when I was trying to piece different bits of advice together, but hadn't downgraded and re-upgraded the radio to lose the Verizon update. Could that have something to do with it?

Also, when I called to reauthenticate, the guy insisted I *228 to update the software before they would do the authentication process. That didn't re-"F" my phone did it?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks to all for efforts!

Just install the driver i gave in 329. I suggest you uninstall all previous drivers and software first

I have done everything you stated. I installed the WModem manually prior via http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=62611. QPSt ran flawlessly and COM4 showed itself as a phone along with my ESN. I made sure the black boxes were checked and followed all the instructions to the T. I have NSFAN's 6.5 ROM and was told that after doing this I needed to install his GPS.cab for Verizon and then to add the following changes;
Server IP: 216.198.139.92
Port: 8889
I tried GPS prior to installing his cab file but it didn't work. Then I installed the cab file and made the changes in HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/SUPL_AGPS.
Nothing... Data Connection is good, I can get regular traffice updates on Google Maps, but GPS just won't work.
