Best Video Capture

What is the best video capture for the camcorder? Ive seen videos on youtube where the dude can actually zoom in while filming, i've never done that since i've had my phone. any suggestions? usually when i post videos they are small and not big.

Here's an old thread that has some links to up the quality of the camera. I'm not sure if it allows zooming as I've never tried it (even though I referred other people to it), but other people seem to have had success.
