Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

There was a recent user not oo long ago that did a ROM update and lost his WiFi also, that user had to re-flash and then was able to use WiFi. Hope this helps.

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

Wow. This is still an issue for me. Did anyone find a resolution?

I have a Sprint Mogul (6800). I've done plenty of hard and soft resets. My WiFi switch in ON. Comm Manager still says "Driver is not loaded"

I did not do a hard reset before installing 6.1 upgrade.

I am going to try to hard reset now. Then reinstall the 6.1 upgrade, if possible. And see what happens.

Anyone else have any good suggestions?

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

Crazy. I didn't do a ROM (re)upgrade. I just did another hard reset (with WiFi switch set to ON, by the way -- although I don't know if that mattered), and now it seems to work again. I don't know if it will continue to work, but we will see.

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

I had the same thing happen when I upgraded. In my case, the wifi seems to be working but when I try to connect to a network, the status changes from "Available" to "Unavailable." I'm typing this on a PC that is connected to my home wireless net so I know there is at least one that is available. But on my phone it shows unavailable. I get the periodic pop-ups telling me new networks are available but again, they are no longer available when I try to connect to them.

I've tried all of the suggestions I found on here. I flashed the upgrade several times and nothing changes. Any other ideas?

Thanks! That fixed the problem I was having! Man I was starting to get worried, too, I had soft reset several times, hard reset, loaded stock rom back on, and it still wouldnt connect. loaded that cab, flipped the switch off and back on, and sure enough, it connected straight away!

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

I have the same problem on one of my two moguls. One mogul i got off ebay in a less than perfect condition. It never had wifi working. I reflashed the latest sprint stock rom, hard reset and tried the wifi fix cab. I think the wifi switch is just busted. The other mogul I had has a working wifi switch running an older sprint stock rom (3.35 or something) and then I loaded the 3.56 sprint stock rom and that's still working fine. Is there a way to get around a wifi switch that's stuck off? Anyone know which contracts to hardwire?

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

I have the same issue, I can turn on the wi-fi by the slide button on the side and the icon appears on the top but no connection. I have manually entered the wi-fi info for my wi-fi router but still says unavailable.

Re: Mogul 6.1 Upgrade and now no WI-FI

Hehe....atleast you have the wifi symbol. When I flick the switch to ON, I get jack. I only get a wifi symbol when I go to menu and click turn on wifi. The symbol comes on and the arrows animate and then it blinks off....sigh....I need to get bold and take that switch off and soldier a wire in.
