Sprint Mogul problem help

my friend has the sprint mogul, and when he slides the keyboard out the phone turns off and shuts down. Anyone have this problem b4? i thought it was very weird.

seen that before. It was the satin cable that goes from the keyboard to the mainbord

ouch, yeah that's a TEP replacement
