Need help with GPS on Verizon
I just got my xv6800 yesterday. I spent a good 2 hours browsing, reading, and learning since there is a lot more involved coming from a XV6700.
I followed what I think are the proper steps: Upgrade bootloader (success with Nuespl 2.47 over sd card) Upgrade to latest radio 3.42.50 (via sd card, success) Put phone into bootloader, built 20270 kitchen with BuildOS. Everything went fine, I'm running the new ROM fine. The only thing that isn't working is GPS. Google maps can't connect. I've checked the settings for External GPS, did the QPST fix http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...me=TitanGpsFix Google Maps just times out after about 5 minutes, and pulls up the GPS help page. Should I try a new ROM? Thanks |

Re: Need help with GPS on Verizon
you need to prime your gps with a program like gps viewer or htc gps tool. check out http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=30034 its a verizon gps thread i started where users can ask questions and explain what works for them

Re: Need help with GPS on Verizon
the problem would be solved if verizon would just allow GPS on the device, i don't see why they won't.. wouldn't it be a good selling point? obviously the device is capable of it, just let the users use it without having to go through hoops and bounds to use it

Re: Need help with GPS on Verizon
Not sure if you meant this for me, but I'm running 3.56 and the cab broke my GPS apps I removed it and I'm back to the sparse results in GPS Viewer. I shouldn't have to load a Sprint rom and skip customizations should I? I went from stock to 3.56 just after loading the latest SPL/Radio on top of my stock ROM.
