Mogul Overclocking

It can't be done. Just get the Touch Pro coming out soon and you will be golden since it is faster anyway. Look into some of the speed tweak threads floating around.

Why is it even needed? I recently upgraded to the Mogul from my old Wizard which has a 200Mhz CPU and in the majority of areas Windows Mobile is just as responsive on 400Mhz as it is on 200Mhz.

I think Windows Mobile likes RAM more than raw clockspeed.

Is it perception? Or just the need to feel faster from the placebo effect of more Mhz?

Well, luckily, this new crop of phones will get down to the $200-300 range of the Mogul soon enough. I have a regular job and even I won't pay $500-1000 for an unlocked first edition device. Anyway, I like to wait until the tweaking scene has given it the once-over so I know if it's worth buying.

back to the op's question:
the new Pocket hack master is still under development for use with qualcomm msm7500 chipsets. It was supposed to be completed in spring 08 but it seems that they have given up.

I just wanna ask, Why Do U want to overclock the mogul? making ur cpu speed higher will just demand more ram which the mogul cannot provide. It might just give u more problems freezing, memory leaking and stuffs like that. Too bad that these phones are not built like laptops where U can upgrade most of the components. Anyway, Ur twelve? OMG what the hell, U should be out there playing G.I. joe or somethin.
