Verizon xv6800 is now $50 for new customers, $150 existing thru bestbuy!
I just got a xv6800 thru Verizon direct, for the $250, 2 year contract price. I had a feeling it would drop when the touch pro came out, or even before to clear the way...
Well I just saw this. Best Buy is offering the xv6800 for $50 if your a NEW customer, and for $150 if your an existing customer, with 2 year extension. That's $100 cheaper then Verizon has it for existing customers, and $200 cheaper if your a new customer! That's huge! I was p***** at the price drop but I'm within 30 days, so I called them and they had me fax them the ad here: Here is the price for a CURRENT customer with 2 year extension ($149.99) http://wireless.bestbuy.com/DeviceDe...6&CarrierID=60 And here is the price for a NEW customer ($49.99) http://wireless.bestbuy.com/DeviceDe...6&CarrierID=60 And they're going to rebate me $100 (somehow, may come off my bill, not sure yet) - rather then having to return the phone and rebuy it (what a pain that would be)! I'll let you know when that goes thru and how they do it, but heads up Verizon customers Remember to say thanks Last edited by Protonus; 08-11-2008 at 04:02 PM. |

I got an e-mail this AM stating they credited me $100 towards my Verizon bill! I confirmed it went thru via MyAccount! So it worked! Hopefully it works for you too!
They made me fax them a copy of the link I posted above, and they put me on hold twice and then said it would be a "one time courtesy". But they did it! Good luck! |

You can usually get the phone you want by knowing to ask for "Customer Retention", the threat of loss of a customer will modivate them to "work" with you to get the phone you want or service adjustments. That is how I got my mogul for $260 rather than the $600 they was tring to do me for!

Big thanks! I just called and I bought mine 33 day ago! But the lady was very nice and gave me the $100 credit!
Now I plan to go to BestBuy and pick one up for my Wife. |

Do you know what dept you started in, or eventually talked to? I was just told VZW doesn't do price matches. I'm wondering if there is another approach.

I called *611, hit zero. That's it. First lady I talked to. Again she had to put me on hold twice to check with her supervisor. If you dont' like what you hear, call again.
