latest update, phone screen turns off

i've been watching the forums for the past couple weeks after the update came out and i haven't seen anyone post about this. when i try calling someone, when it changes from "dialing..." to "connected" my screen turns off. i thought this was some new feature to keep you from pressing things on the screen, but the phone won't function like that. i can't end a call or turn up the volume or anything. i have to turn the screen back on the with power button and then i can do whatever. if the screen goes to standby mode after turning it back on initially, it comes back on like normal. has anyone else experienced this issue? i can't figure out what's going on.

Have you set the backlight to 1 minutes or more? Also, It can cause from the way you set up "power" setting. I haven't had any problem with the new 3.56 rom for what you experienced. If it does not solve the problem, you may need to hard reset your phone. Backup your file first so you won't lose it before you do hard reset.

all of those settings are ok. the screen isn't turning off after a certain amount of time, but immediately when it connects a phone call.

Ok it would be nice if you could tell us what the program is cause I am now having the same exact issue. For sure it isn't settings.

Ok I found what was causing it. S2U2 settings. For some reason the "Blank on Talk" was ON. Not sure how that happened. Glad I found it though. It was PIA cause you couldn't hang up the call unless you turn the screen back on with the power button.

that was the same problem I was having. sorry for not posting. didn't see anyone had updated. not really sure why that feature is built in because it locks the phone completely.
