Streaming music skipping in stand-by mode?

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem as well. Whenever I stream online music (i.e. Orb, XMradio) and I put the device to stand-by it'll start skipping every 15-30 seconds. However if I leave the screen on it won't skip at all. Does anyone know what's causing this? Could it be outdated WMV codecs?

XM does the same thing on mine. Probably has something to do with the standby mode and the buffering of data. Although try it with headphones instead of speaker...I mowed the lawn once w/o a skip.

Yea I used both the headphones the phone comes with and also normal headphones with a 3.5mm to USB mini adapter, but both experience skipping problems.
