Re: how to view state where number is form ?
I know it shows you a state when you DIAL a number, but I didn't know it could show you a state when you receive a call. I'm interested in this... anyone know how?

Re: how to view state where number is form ?
Was this a windows mobile phone? (I don't know, I'm not that familiar with pre-mogul WM phones) I would think that if this feature worked on one, it would work for all. Maybe a registry change?

Re: how to view state where number is form ?
This also worked on my old Samsung a920 the phone i had before my mogul. It's not a windows phone it uses whatever Samsung uses as an OS for their phones. But yea whenever i had an incoming call that was not saved it would say the state name. I haven't seen something like this on the mogul just yet, though I wonder if its possible since sprint does support it im guessing.

Re: how to view state where number is form ?
I'm pretty sure that the phone itself stores a database of area codes, and what states they are from. You can type any area code followed by 555-1234, and it will give you a state right away. It would be nice to utilize this for incoming calls that are not stored in contacts. I receive a lot of phone calls from outside Washington, and if I can see a state, it gives me a better idea of who is on the other end of that call.

I don't know about getting this info via your device, but on your PC, go to www.fonefinder.net
