Mogul Email Limit?

I was adding a "Gmail" account on the official 6.1 ROM, but now it only allows me to download 179 headers, even though I selected to download all messages there are 709 total, I cant get them o download, anyone know why?

They are on POP and set to download since May5 but only 1179 are downloaded

I used to have hundreds of messages in my folders so I don't believe there is a limit. You must have not set the g-mail settings correctly server side. Also use IMAP instead, it is a much more efficient protocol instead of POP. If you delete the message via your phone, it'll reflect on the gmail server as well.

how would i do that since, it is always using the "autosetup" and there is no option to turn it off

When it comes time to put in your email address... mis-spell 'gmail'... for example... arparent@gSnail.com, The autosetup won't know its a gmail account, and it will let you set it up manually. Then, go back and change it back to 'gmail.' If you go to gmail.com, and check out the help/faq section, it gives instructions for setting up IMAP in Windows Mobile 6.

try entering your email wrong at the first step or even do not write any email at all, it then will ask you about the email provider and you can choose to set up the account manually and for the step-by-step go to your email account on your PC and choose settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP , then in the IMAP window box choose the Configurations Instructions and from there choose the windows mobile 6 ...

im using the 6.1 rom
and i have 205 in my folder right now

i think there is a setting you can change

you know what!! I just discovered that the Gmail Java application now works just fine with the Windows 6.1, so head to Google from your phone and click more then Gmail, it will start download the application withen 2 sec, check it out.

Make sure you go through the Advanced Options and download all e-mails in HTML and not just the last 30 days. Review those settings carefully.
