Mogul doesnt display signal strength bar (pic inside)

Can anyone show me how to get the mogul to display my signal strength? I am running the latest official rom. It occasionally shows the signal bars when im making a phone call for a brief moment; but this isnt always the case. here is the pic:

if u know how to fix this it will be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance.
