Re: Verizon Default Text Message Alert -Beep,Beep,Beep
you can record any noise you want and set it as an alert tone for a number of alerts.
1. open 'notes' on pocket pc 2. dont open new note. be at screen where it lists all the notes you have. 3. at the bottom there is a sound recording bar. (may need to press menu then view recoding toolbar) 4. hold the phone near the sound you want and press record. 5. press stop when done with recording. 6. play it to make sure you like it. 7. it should be called 'recoding1' as long as its the only one. 8. hold down on the 'recording1' file, click rename move 9. move it to some folder of your choosing. i suggest 'my ringtones' in main memory with the name 'beepbeepbeep' or whatever name u want. 10. close notes. open 'file explorer'. navigate to 'my documents\my ringtones' or where ever u saved it. 11. find the file 'beepbeepbeep' and hold on it. click copy. 12. navigate in to the 'windows' folder in 'my device' using file explorer 13. click menu, then edit, then paste 14. close file explorer 15. go into settings\personal\sounds & notifications\notifications 16. change event to 'Messaging: new text message' 17. make sure play sound is checked. 18. click the drop down and select 'beepbeepbeep' DONE you should learn from this that you can copy any audio file into the 'windows' directory and it will show up in the 'sounds & notifications' screen. so if u find a mp3, wav or midi that you get from the internet or where ever, it can be an alert tone too. |
