Buttons not working Help?

My mogul button is not working mail, ie, ok, talk, end, start, and D-pad. I never dropped it or anything.

Re: Buttons not working Help?

It could be an issue with the rom, as you said it is all the buttons. You could try a hard reset and see if that helps.

*** PLEASE CONTINE READING BEFORE DOING A HARD RESET ***

If you do a hard reset, you have to ensure that you have everything backed up, as it will wipe your phone completely clean. I would recomend copying everything to your storage card. You could also use spb Backup or Sprite Backup to backup your personal stuff.

You could also have a bad unit that needs to be replaced. I personally would do the hard reset first and then, if that does not work, get a replacement.

Ok I did a backup using my spb backup and hard reset still not good. Oh I hate going to Sprint for replacement.

Edit: Does sprint cover hardware like button issues?

Yes, if you have insurance. Also yes, if the phone is less than about 30 days old. Other than that, you are at the mercy of the Sprint rep.

Either way, good luck.

Re: Buttons not working Help?

The tech was surprise to see the windows mobile 6.1 and blaming that its a software issue but he flashed it to original rom and still same issue so he just gave me new one. Now should I install WM6.1 first and then run my spb backup?

I tried that Instinct and its garbage! I don't know why sprint is making such a big deal about it.
