Browse Internet without VPN

First time newbie glad to have found you all. I don't know if I screwed up during the original setup of my XV6800. I have successful VPN connection to my work server when remote with wifi at home or anywhere when I ActiveSync my Outlook stuff, but problem is that when I just wish to browse the internet my 6800 makes VPN connection for that also. Kinda funny and a stupid waste to VPN through the internet to my work server to browse the internet. This is my third PDA. I never had this same problem with my HP iPAQs. Anybody know what I may have to do to fix this or is this the 6800's modus operendi? Thanks. My other probs on separate threads.

Is your phone dialing directly to your VPN, or is it connecting via the internet?

Thanks for engaging in this... I avoid cell phone connections because I don't care to pay data transfer charges. So I only browse the internet in a wifi hot spot (usually at home) situation. I am obviously on the internet but it connects to my work server via VPN before it lets me browse.

Strange... I've never used vpn with my ppc, but perhaps there is a solution for you. Settings) Connections) Connections) Advanced... select which networks to connect automatically to. Set up internet first. Then add your intranet connections to the exceptions list. Not really sure if this will help you, but that's what I would try.
