Mogul and my digital camera

I'm going on vacation in for ten days and I'm taking my Canon sd630 and my Mogul. I would like to use my Mogul to send emails when I get to a wireless hotspot. I'd also like to send pictures I've taken back to the U.S.

What do you recommend for this situation? The Canon takes SD non-hc cards, so I bought a new mini sd card. I'm thinking I can take pictures with the mini-sd (using the sd adapter) and then take it out and put it in the Mogul. Think this will work?

Re: Mogul and my digital camera

I don't see why this shouldn't work... You can access the images via File Explorer on the Mogul and send them through whatever e-mail account you have set up on your phone. If you're in a wireless hotspot, you won't be charged a dime.

Just to clear this up, your camera takes a MiniSD card, but you have an adapter for a Micro-to-MiniSD. You'll then take the MicroSD out of the adapter to place in your Mogul, right?

Re: Mogul and my digital camera

just to clarify the mogul takes MICRO sd cards so make sure you have a micro sd card you are going to swap back and forth instead of a mini sd.

Re: Mogul and my digital camera

I should've paid more attention to the proper terminology. The canon takes a normal sd. The Mogul takes the micro-sd. I bought and will use a mini-sd card (non-hc) in the adapter for use in the canon. I will then take it out of the adapter and put the micro slot.

The question is whether the camera will work with a micro-sd in an adapter. Now that i think of it this forum may not be the appropriate place for this question.

Re: Mogul and my digital camera

Sure it is. I have used a micro sd card, in an adapter, in my own digital cameras before for the exact same reason. Two Canons and an Olympus and they all worked.

You should be good to go (on vacation).

Re: Mogul and my digital camera

Here is a thought. Depends on the quality of your memory card. If you take it out and insert it back too many times. The phone sometimes can't recognize it and/or it will damage the card slot on the phone. Just be careful.

Check out resco photo viewer pro. You can browse pics by thumbnails, make simple edits/crops, upload to ftp and even upload to services like Flikr! It can even open up some raw files.

Using a microSD inside a SD adapter with your camera and reading the files from microSD with your phone should work

Can you resize them? I was thinking about doing the same thing as OP, but uploading a huge 7 megapixel picture would just not be cool.
