Handset mic doesn't work intermittently

Hi all, I'm on my second XV6800 (first one had an unfortunate kayaking accident!) Frequently, I answer a call using the handset, or make a call, and the other party can't hear me. I can hear them just fine. Usually, I reboot and it clears it up. Yesterday, 2 reboots and still no voice. Works fine with by BT headset.

I haven't gotten around to flashing a new build on it (5060 based) like I had on my old unit. So I'm wondering if I should take this in for repair, or will this likely be a software issue fixed by flashing 5060?? Trying to avoid the need to flash back to stock if it is a hardware problem.

Has anyone else every experienced this, and if so, did it turn out to be hardware or software??? Thanks.
