Message alert changes...any success???

Has anyone found a way to change alert for messages>? i have personal rings i would really like to use but im being told that its not possible. is there a download or anything??? can i edit inside files??? how can we do this?

Never tried it, but I think if you just drop your custom sounds into the windows folder you can pick them up on your options for alerts. Don't quote me on that, but give it a try with a file or two. You may have to soft reset before you see them. If it doesn't work, no harm done.

use active sync open the explore navigate to windows folder and drop them in there for message tones and if they are ring tones goto rings folder in windows and put them in there. Done....

I am 95% sure that message tones require .WAV
I have all of my message alerts/tones in my "My Documents" folder.
Its messy, but it works...

But this "place it into the windows folder" method is an interesting idea, I will try that with my Mp3's sometime.

If I am correct, and the case is that you must have WAV, then I would suggest using a audio converter (I use Audacity, it's free) and just convert from MP3 to WAV.

Also: WAV files are waaay larger than MP3's.

I'll add the other 5% on the .wav format condition. That now makes it 100% correct.
