*Help* My Titan is garbage after new ROM Flash! - Page 2

is the exact link to the latest Alltel rom directly from HTC's site. It is in exe format so all you have to do is download it and follow the onscreen instructions. The ROM is Version Alltel HTC PPC6800 Rev.A Update - Version 3.35.671.9. More info

i hate to say it but this is the exact rom i flashed to... and having all the problems. i'll try to reflash and i'll post how it goes.

Sometimes flashing a rom goes wrong just because you are dealing with electronic equipment and software, period. Don't get discouraged, just try it again and see if it catches this time.

I remember the first time I flashed my Titan I thought I bricked it, which was the very same day that I bought it. I had no USB connection, the Tri-color bootloader, and a bunch of curse words coing out of my mouth. Instinctively I went directly into panic mode. But than I read a little more, mustered up just a little courage, and tried it again. And that time I got it and all was good.

Now I have flashed new roms on my Titan at least 30 times... I'm always trying something new. All you have to do is just get over that first hurdle and you will be ok.

thanks for the info.. i just reflashed and did a hard reset (something i've never done before... i was just stuck in the tri color for a while.. so i took the batt out and turned it on again.. )

phone loaded back up fine... we'll see how she runs today

my only problem now is trying to get my contacts from dashwire via usb...

if it is any help you should be able to get the stock rom from www.america.htc.com. when ever i messed up my phone i just go back to the rom i downloaded from that site.

After upgrading to the newest "official ROM" for a couple of days, my green HARD answer button does not work. Maybe every 1 out of 50 clicks, it will work, but for the most part, it does not work and is VERY annoying. I am thinking that this is ROM related, as im pretty sure it worked fine before this flash.

Is there any fix for this, or am I stuck hard-booting or reflashing to another rom. Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you ever get your contacts back onto your phone? After the hard reset you might have to reinstall Dashwire back onto your phone. After that syncing should be pretty easy...

I just had this same issue crop up on me in the past few days. I am running no2chem's 5067 and it worked fine for a few weeks after I flashed and then one day stopped. I even tried installing AEBPlus to ensure that the button was setup for makevoicecall.exe and it still does not work.

I am wondering if I installed something recently that could have broken it, but I cannot think of anything. Otherwise it may be an issue with the button itself (a few months ago my titan went out my car window at 45MPH... read about it here) and I will need to do an insurance claim. But that itself sucks as I have to put a stock rom back on it, and then start over from scratch.

But I will agree with you that it is very annoying...
