Re: Train new battery
No you do not let it die it is bad for battery, just let it get to maybe 30% and then charge. Letting it die will kill battery cycle and life.

Re: Train new battery
wow. for what it's worth, and i've done this for every rechargeable I've ever owned.
drain completely first. fully recharge fully drain fully recharge rinse, repeat if necessary as a general rule it's better to keep the battery full after "training".

Re: Train new battery
I agree with the DO NOT fully drain the battery. Please review the Wiki section for L-ion battery life.

Re: Train new battery
Ugh oh, a lot of conflicting info.
I always completely drain it then completely charge it and do that a few times. |

Re: Train new battery
The old "drain the battery entirely and then recharge" thing was back from the 70s and 80s when decent battery technology was new. You can't screw these things up anymore.

Re: Train new battery
I'm not sure how you know how stuff worked in the 70's (unless that's you kids pic)
but this is quoted directly from the wiki link. Quote:
like I said the phones/batteries do not let this happen |

Re: Train new battery
the instructions with the battery say to super charge (my words) initially. ie) leave it for an extended amount of time like 8-12 hours? instead of waiting for the light to turn from orange to green.
