noobie needs help with internet sharing

I searched countless fourms for help but came back empty handed.Ineed help with setting up internet sharing on my 6800.Im not sure if I need to upgrade my rom,download some type of software or what.When I sync my ppc to my laptop it shows up under network connections as local area connection 3 at 10 mbps.....SOMBODY HELP ME?????PLEASE.STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO GET THINGS RUNNING.......THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS..

Well, I can tell you how it worked for me, so let's hope it works the same for you (Based on my newest ROM with WM6.1).
1. Launch Internet Explorer and go to any site (main thing is to have an internet connection established)
2. Connect your USB cable from your PPC6800 to your laptop.
3. Launch Internet sharing on your PPC 6800 and choose USB connection in the drop down.

This should now give your laptop the ability to surf the web. Now there may be some assumptions that are taken for granted which could apply here but hopefully other folks will fill in the blanks if that is the case.

I also use bluetooth but that takes a bit more work. I also seem to recall that for Windows Mobile 6.1, I had to do a quick registry fix to make internet sharing work for the PPC 6800. ah ha!, here it is:
Turn on internet sharing for WM 6.1...
HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing
Delete this string: Extension - isext.dll
