TomTom 6-7 upgrade problem

I originally had TomTom 6 on my phone, but now have 7. When i install it, it installs fine but when i make my map selection it says "Sorry, this is not the correct activation code for the product 'USA_and_Canada'". Problem is it's not giving me the chance to put my activation code in, it's pulling the acyivation info from my TomTom 6 installation. Any help on how to remove the version 6 activation info so I can put in the correct activation code?

Is 7 available for purchase for the USA? If so, can you post a link as I couldn't find it on the tomtom.com site.
Thanks.

Re: TomTom 6-7 upgrade problem

your new device id is in the file ttnavigator.bif on your storage card

the activation code goes there too so you can manually type it in there, just open it with notepad
