Re: Keyboard defaults to Phone?
I don't know of any way to disable it, but yes, if you start typing numbers on the keyboard it will be as if you were dialing on the keypad on a smartphone. If you dial letters, it opens up the phone app and searches for contacts based on what you type. I think its kind of handy when you don't want to open up 'contacts' and wait a few seconds, scroll down, select a contact, then a number.

Re: Keyboard defaults to Phone?
My curiosity got the better of me. I pushed fairly hard, but being sure not to damage the screen. Nothing. Also tried a sewing needle between the keyboard and screen while in the closed position to see if pushing buttons while closed made anything happen, nothing. I need to get a life.
