Threaded Text Messaging Issue in WM6.1 when Backing up from 6.0

I just recently updated my ROM to the new official Sprint 6.1, but tried backing up my text messages from 6.0. I guess because of the new threaded text messaging in 6.1 it seems my messages don't fully convert over into the 6.1. For some reason all the 'conversations' I have are only my out going text messages and none of the incoming.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if there was a way to convert my old 6.0 messages to be compatible with the 6.1

I'm using PIM Backup to try and restore the text messages

okay it seems that all the messages that are incoming seem to be at the back of the conversations, but all the time stamps are still correct. this probably means that it has something to do with the way PIM reinserts the messages and how WM6.1 interprets this.

Try this program. It will disable threaded. Then uninstall it and it will re-enable threaded. In theory re-enabling it should re-compile your text in order.

It seems to work if I install the SMS disabler and then restore all the text messages. Once I have all the messages loaded I just uninstall the SMS disabler, and WM6.1 begins to recompile all the messages it has and in a couple minutes everything is a-ok.

Thanks alot! This threaded messaging was one of my main reasons I decided to upgrade now sooner than later.

Upgrade to a new HTC Rom or a Custom ROM - there is a lot about both in this forum.
