Do you know whether this update is uninstallable somehow? Or does it require a hard reset to remove?

it requires another install of an older PRI (letting the sprint customizations on 3.35 run would undo this update, or finding an older cab) but other than that it is permanent. I'm not sure why you would want to remove it though, as I haven't seen anyone reporting any kinds of issues with it and it definitely leads to MUCH faster gps lock times (although some people seem to already have these fast lock times, but I have never seen/heard of it making them worse).

Cool, thanks. I was just curious and also wanted the info out there for anyone that might have wondered also. But as you said, it looks like a keeper for everyone :)

Wow. I have tried every GPS related hack / change for my Mogul. Most don't do a thing. This one dropped my lock time to 4 seconds and my average Sat count from 6 to 10. I am very impressed.

Thanks

A little more info. I am running No2s 5069k and 3.39.10 radio.

Running no2chem 5069k and 3.39.10 radio. I did a test before I installed this, and did a test after I installed it, using GPStoday, and noticed absolutely no difference. Same time to lock, same number of satellites.

Already thanked you holo, but I wanted to say so too. This is tremendous. I thought the GPS was pretty much worthless before this.

What were your results? How many sats? How quickly?

Right, that would be the expected result if you had already installed this PRI update through/via some other rom flash/hard boot cycle. Which is why I suggested checking what you had installed before installing this cab.

Check your Start->Settings->System->Device Information

All this does is update the PRI to 2.03_003 - depending on what you had before this will make no difference, or a huge difference.

Also, if you've changed the registry to disable agps this cab doesn't re-enable it.

HKLM/Software/HTC/SUPL AGPS/
EnableAGPS 1
EnableGPSSmartMode 1
GPSMode 2 (or 4)

Help! Everytime i try to connect to gps now it prompts me for "network log on" info; user name, password and domain. I can no longer find any satellites. I am using this on a Sprint mogul.
-Thanks

Takes about 15 seconds to get the satellites, and I get about 4 or 5 inside. This is inside my home.
