Re: the new rom

Why does everyone care so much about when a new ROM is going to (maybe) be released? I figure just flash some of the good ROMs developed here and enjoy, right?

Re: the new rom

If you guys are REALLY wanting 6.1, go get a ROM from the upgrades forum. If you don't want to do that, then wait. We already have GPS and Rev A, which is more than the Vogue has right now, so why complain?

Because if we don't complain, we'll be bored and there will be nothing to post here

Because its my GOD given right to complain... I want my phone to be my laptop but smaller. I want it to do everything my laptop gaming pc does including playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I want more ram as it is slow with 64mb of ram. I am really thinking of getting a Touch with 128mb of ram or does anyone know if someone can upgrade the ram in the mogul. I would like perhaps 512mb of system ram.

I'd hate to say it, but I thought about getting a Touch also.

Re: the new rom

i dont see what all the fuss is about. i love my mogul which, with the help of some of the latest roms, is a thing of beauty. i am at a loss why anyone would want to go with a palm. unless, of course, you want less features and flexibility.

my mogul has been stable and fairly snappy. i love controlling my pc with pc anywhere, uploading files through ftp, use of the lan, etc. I, pretty much use the mogul for everthing when i am on the road. something an iphone failed, miserably, at.

if you want a new rom, ther are several to choose from right here. why anyone would want an instict over a mogul has me stumped.

...my two cents

What rom are you running, and what does it do for you that the stock rom does not? I just got my Mogul today, and I'm at a loss when it comes to all this custom ROM business.

Re: the new rom

no2chem 5069k ROM with a page pool of 8-10 is the fastest to date for the mogul.

Read up in the no2chem v2.1 thread in the titan upgrade sub-board.

I swear I have not lagged once, and with using oxios memory, I have not reset since I flashed the ROM.

patrickoneal,
i could not agree with mromblad more. I am using the same rom and i have not lagged, at all, and have had absolutely no reason to flash back. i have been really enjoying it.

dzuchowski,
lol. funny. Well i can't run GTA on my mogul, but it actually has become my mini laptop. I actually don't carry my laptop with me as much since i can pretty much control everything(including my actual pc) from my mogul.

I have heard rumors of Titan ram upgrades in another thread. Someone claimed to have upgraded their ram to 128mb. It sounded a bit sketchy and very over-priced. The person who made this claim did not really come through with convincing evidence that it was true(i havent checked back in the thread in a couple of weeks). They did post some pics, but they didn't seem to impress anyone. Not to mention they were asking for 150$ for the upgrade. So i am not sure. I certainly hope it is possible, but not at such a high price.
