Re: Car stereo decks with built-in bluetooth for music and phone, need feedback
All bluetooth adapters/receivers/car decks have all had the same problem:
1. the bass cuts off at around 100Hz 2. treble cuts off at around 10,000Hz otherwise it's fine. It's most noticeable in cars with systems. I could never get the 6700 or 6800 to bluetooth a decent bass filled sound to a car without hooking it up directly with a wire. Copy |

My stereo (the P7000BT) cuts off at 12k... 10k seems about right for what i hear.

Actually, I'm interested in that data too. Is anyone interested in me performing a "dirty" test - a sweep pattern from certain hz to hz to find out the true limits?
I know it cuts off at the top - it may be 15-18khz not 10khz but it chops off a lot. and on the bottom end, anything subsonic is chopped, anything woofer worthy is dampened. Copy |

Re: Car stereo decks with built-in bluetooth for music and phone, need feedback
I have pretty damn sensitive hearing... meaning if I listen to someone's stereo for more than 5 minutes, and the EQ is messed up, or it's distorting, just low quality MP3, or the radio or something, I will get a headache, and my ears will turn bright red...
With that said, bluetooth reminds me of somewhere between FM radio and cassette tape. (Cassette is pretty good.) --- and of course, I can't listen to it for more than a few minutes, unless I'm outside the car, with the system cranked, and then it matters much less... Maybe turning up the bitpool would help? I think my Sanyo M1 sounded better than my Vogue... |

Re: Car stereo decks with built-in bluetooth for music and phone, need feedback
My Dual XHD6425 is a budget radio that does a lot of stuff (BT, HD-Built in, Aux port and USB port) I had to pay $50 for the BT adapter but it was a single cable plugin and ran it up to the visor area. I can say I love my radio but it's not perfect. The HD sounds great and the BT works really well. Very clear on the other callers end and the callers voice comes thru the car speaker. I can stream all my audio thru the BT and it sounds clear. If I'm watching Tv or XM it also streams clearly.
There is a issue with the button placement that sux until you get used to it but it's so feature rich and inexpensive that I can enjoy the new radio and have a ton of options. That's why I love my Mogul, the limitless options on what it does. My phone is the reason I bought this radio! Anyways, I strongly recommend this unit, espcially if you want tons of options and only have $200 to burn. Ish. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...HD6425&tp=5684 |

no one seems to care that bluetooth doesn't output full range. It's like I'm taking my AM radio I built out of 2 transistors and wiring it up to my radio. then I take my pocket pc and broadcast.
