I'd suggest the WOW SRS HD cab floating around out there. I first got it from XDA but I i think I saw it on www.freewarepocketpc.net. When you install do a soft reset then goto the settings>System>WOW HD Settings, then change "internal speakers" to "Headphones" you can play with the other values at your discretion.

Search the Mogul Forum for "audiopara.csv". This file maintains the volume limits in windows.
