While you don't necessarily have to be outside, you DO have to be able to receive beams. Don't forget to check the option for "Receive all incoming Beams" in Start/Settings/Connections/Beam

My GPS actually works, but sometimes it will stop working all of a sudden. I'll try to close Google Maps and restart it, but it can never find a satellite. After I reset my entire phone the GPS will work again. Any advice? i'm using the latest ROM by HTC.

Why do you have to receive beams for GPS to work??

My GPS works and I have beams off.

Okay. I reset my device twice and now it's working greatly! Thanks for all your help. PS. Google maps works indoors and outdoors for me.

get tom tom 6. and use gps viewer to get the gps signal. always work for me
tom tom can be obtain from torrent network
